Admission and Outcomes

When you follow this credit waiver pathway, you will complete both your bachelor of arts degree and your master’s degree in as few as five years.

Complete the UMN Morris course STAT 1601: Introduction to Statistics (or an equivalent or more advanced course) with a B average or better. This will allow you later to substitute the MHRIR People Analytics I course prerequisite with an advanced class.
Complete your bachelor of arts (BA) in business and management from UMN Morris with a B average or better.
Apply to start the MHRIR program within three years of completing your BA.
Complete 34 credits total in the MHRIR program, including 12 required "Business Foundations" credits (6 people systems credits, 2 analytical systems credits), instead of the typical 40 credits.
Complete the master of human resources & industrial relations at the Carlson School of Management on the Twin Cities campus in 2 semesters instead of 3 (or spread remaining credits across 3 semesters in a flexible format).
