Student Organizations

UMN Morris students create community and stay engaged outside of the classroom through our 100+ student organizations. There is no shortage of opportunities to get involved, try new things, and meet people who share your passions and interests!

Asian Student Association

The Asian Student Association fosters connections among Asian and non-Asian students, faculty, and the community; provides educational programming on Asian identity and culture in a supportive environment; and offers meaningful and educational opportunities and experiences.

Bad Movie Club

The Bad Movie Club is just that—a club that seeks to appreciate and celebrate terrible movies.

Big Friend Little Friend

Big Friend Little Friend is a community outreach program dedicated to providing positive role models for elementary school children in the Morris community. UMN Morris students are paired with local elementary-age children to spend an average of two hours together each week. 

Campus Activities Council

The Campus Activities Committee (CAC) plans and hosts educational, cultural, social, and recreational events for the campus community. CAC promotes leadership development by involving students in creating and participating in activities that cater to the diverse needs of the Morris community.

Circle of Nations Indigenous Association (CNIA)

CNIA is dedicated to increasing awareness of Native American culture and history on the Morris campus and in the surrounding community. The organization offers a culturally sensitive support network. CNIA also hosts an annual contest-style powwow on campus; this has become one of the most anticipated annual events for students, staff, faculty, and community members.

Dance Ensemble

Dance Ensemble (DE) welcomes all students at all levels of dance. Twice each year, Dance Ensemble performs a popular student-choreographed show featuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced dances.

Hold My Root Beer

Hold My Root Beer gives students the opportunity to hang out on Saturday nights from ~9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in a very informal setting. It provides fun activities and comfortable spaces to meet new people and chill with friends.

The Jane Addams Project

Jane Addams provides intercultural activities that allow UMN Morris students and members of the local Hispanic community to interact in a bilingual setting. 

KUMM Radio

Go on the air with KUMM! The campus radio station connects students with music, radio, and other forms of media through DJ training, Music Minions, concerts, recording, and more.

Pre-Health Club

Pre-Health Club educates and supports students pursuing careers in healthcare. It offers resources for various fields, including medicine (such as nursing, physician, physician assistant), dentistry, and physical therapy.

Role Playing Games Club

The Role Playing Games Club creates a social space for students to foster and grow new and old friendships and share the love of all things board games and role playing games.

Sustainability Club

The Sustainability Club's mission is to promote sustainability on campus and beyond, by empowering students to lead in environmental stewardship through education, engagement, and action. By fostering collaboration and awareness, the members strive for positive change, reduced ecological impact, and planetary well-being.

Saddle Club

The Saddle Club provides an environment for students to learn about and engage with horses, no matter their experience level. 

Women in Computer Science

Women in Computer Science is a group of female students and faculty members from computer science who offer supportive networking for female students entering the field, including the opportunity to connect with juniors and seniors for advice on classes, student life, and research opportunities.
