1. Application
Choose the application type and application platform that work best for you. We have no preference.
Important: Only submit one application; submitting more than one will delay your admission decision.
2. Application fee
Pay the non-refundable application fee:
- $30 if applying online
- $35 if applying by paper application
3. Academic documents
Upload an unofficial high school transcript through your application portal, or email it to [email protected].
Optional: You may include additional materials to help us get to know you better. These can include a written statement, letters of recommendation, resumes, or portfolios. We especially encourage written statements if you have any extenuating circumstances that you would like us to consider when reviewing your application.
Application Deadlines

September 15
We begin to review applications on a rolling basis.
December 15
Priority application deadline for maximum scholarship consideration.
Applications received after December 15 will be considered for admissions and automatic academic scholarships only.
August 1
Final application deadline.
After You Submit Your Application
1. Receive an admission decision
After you submit the items above, you will receive an admission decision in approximately two weeks. The notification will be sent to the email address you listed on your application.
2. Submit the FAFSA.

First Year Academic Recommendations
For prospective first-year students at UMN Morris, we recommend your high school transcript include the following:
- 4 years of English
- 4 years of math, including:
- 1 year of elementary algebra
- 1 year of intermediate algebra
- 1 year of geometry
- 3 years of science, including:
- 1 year of biological science
- 1 year of physical science
- 3 years of social studies, including United States history*
- 2 years of a single second language*
*Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be denied admission if they are otherwise qualified.
We welcome college and advanced placement credits.
Degree in Three
At Morris, you can choose to complete your degree in three years, join the workforce or attend graduate school, and save on average $20,000.
