SAFE-U Emergency Notification

SAFE-U Alerts

SAFE-U, UMN’s mass notification system, enables us in emergencies to communicate with our students, staff, faculty, and visitors through voice, text, and email.

Students, Staff, and Faculty

All students, staff, and faculty are automatically opted into SAFE-U (unless they’ve specifically requested to be removed).

Parents, Partners, and Guests

Parents, partners, or others interested in receiving SAFE-U Alerts may download the Everbridge app—the app used for SAFE-U Alerts—from their device’s app store iOS or Android.) Use keyword UMNSAFEU (case sensitive) to add these alerts.
