Congratulations on being admitted to UMN Morris!
Take these steps to get started with financial aid and confirm your decision to enroll at UMN Morris.
Step 1: Apply for Financial Aid
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only application needed to receive federal, state, or institutional financial aid at the University of Minnesota Morris.
Filing the FAFSA
- Complete the FAFSA online. Include the federal school code 002389 so that your results are sent to UMN Morris.
- Sign electronically with your FSA ID. If you are a dependent student, you and one of your parents must both sign the FAFSA.
- Click "Submit."
- Print/save the confirmation page for your records.
We understand that you and your family may have questions about financial aid. Our staff at One Stop Student Services would be glad to help. Email ummonestop@morris.umn.edu or call 320-589-6046.
Step 2: Claim Your Account
Claiming your University of Minnesota Morris student account will give you access to your UMN Morris email and other university systems. You need to claim your account before you can start the New Student Checklist (step 1 after you have paid your confirmation fee).
Step 3: Confirm Your Enrollment
Return the confirmation card included in your admission packet with a $175 non-refundable confirmation fee or pay the confirmation fee online with a credit card. Once we receive your confirmation, you will be able to request housing, schedule a registration session, and complete the other necessary steps to be a UMN Morris Cougar.
If you have any concerns or questions about this deposit, don't hesitate to reach out to your admissions counselor. Call 888-866-3382 or email admissions@morris.umn.edu. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
