Intercollegiate Sports

As members of the NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), Morris offers competitive intercollegiate sports opportunities for men (baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track & field) and women (basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, volleyball). Our student-athletes exceed athletically and academically, as Morris athletes consistently achieve all-conference and academic all-conference honors.

Club Sports

Students organize club sports for recreation as well as fun and competitive play on campus and against other collegiate sports clubs in the region.

Intramurals

Intramural sports are one of the most popular activities on campus. The program schedules team competition between residence hall floors, groups of friends from across campus, and faculty and staff. Intramural events like the annual spring Tinman Triathlon offer team and individual competition for the campus and area community.

Fitness

The Regional Fitness Center (RFC), a campus/community recreation and fitness facility, features state-of-art workout facilities and offers personal trainers, fitness classes, and programming from aerobics to pool parties. You'll find Morris students, faculty, staff, and community members in the facility from early morning to late night seven days a week.

The Morris city park system's expanding bike, hiking, and cross country ski trail offers a great outdoor fitness options at the edge of the Pomme de Terre River, just east of the campus. The beautiful display gardens at the University of Minnesota's West Central Research and Outreach Center are a popular walking/running destination across the highway from the campus.

Glacial Lakes State Park offers extensive hiking, camping, and kayaking in rolling glacial hills with the natural beauty of oak savanna and tallgrass prairie landscapes, just 20 miles from Morris. Outdoor equipment is available for rent through the RFC.
