High/Secondary School Record(s)

You can have your official transcripts from your secondary school and/or college sent directly from the school to our office with a certified English translation if they are not originally written in English. Transcripts and examination results in certain countries must be certified by a national examination council. This process may be time consuming so please take that into consideration when applying for admission.

  • Academic records and transcripts are considered official if sent to UMN Morris directly from the original institution. If you are sending the transcripts, they need to be in a sealed envelope with a stamp or notation from an official over the seal, showing the transcript came directly from the institution and in no way could the transcript have been altered.
  • For West African applicants (Ghana, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria) who have sat for an exam from 1999 onwards, please send your qualifications through the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform. Go to the West African Examinations Council Digital Certificate website and follow the steps for sharing your documents with the University of Minnesota Morris. Click on the ‘Request For Confirmation’ button and share your documents with [email protected].
  • If you are an international transfer student, you must submit official college transcripts. If the college credit you took is from a non-U.S. school, it must be evaluated by a NACES member organization (i.e., WES or ECE). High school transcripts are not required if you have 12 or more completed college semester credits.
