Education/Interests
I graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2025 with degrees in Spanish and communication, media, and rhetoric. Throughout my undergraduate career I was very involved in both the on- and off-campus communities: I served as a Community Advisor (CA) for three years, acted as the Publicity Director and later the Live Music Coordinator for KUMM Radio, was co-chair of communications in the Campus Activities Council, taught community ESL classes for four years, and interned in the bilingual, community-centered Jane Addams Project twice. Before coming to Morris I had never been a very involved or engaged student or citizen, but the Morris environment and the experiences I had here motivated me to be a community contributor and someone who makes an overall positive impact on the world around me.
I enjoy listening to and discovering music, drinking tea, baking, reading, fiber arts, and playing video games, as well as engaging in whatever other fleeting interest grabs my attention.
Why Morris?
Before my mom accidentally emailed Morris instead of the Twin Cities campus, I had never heard of this place. That turned out to be one of the greatest accidents of my life thus far. I was drawn to Morris' excellent scholarship program and small community, and enrolled without ever taking an official tour. My first year was a little rough due to taking place in the tail end of the pandemic, but I threw myself into student and community engagement my sophomore year and never looked back. The best parts about Morris are its friendly, tight-knit community and passionate people, and I'm certain you'll find your experience at Morris to be as life-changing as mine was.
