2025-2026 Financial Certification Statement

For 2025-2026, demonstrated funding should equal at least $36,602. An I-20 form will not be sent if this form is incomplete or that you do not show adequate financial resources. You will need to show an official bank statement to the university as well as the US Consulate for the visa interview. 

  • Tuition and Fees: $18,752 (Tuition: $16,080, Required Fees: $1,520,International Student Fees:   $600,International Student Academic Service Fee:   $552)
  • Living Expenses: $11,960 (Housing: $5,896, Food: $6,064)
  • Other costs: $5,890 (Health insurance: $3,590,Books: $800,Personal expenses: $1,500)

Note: these figures do not include travel or summer living expenses.  All costs listed are estimatesuntil the University of Minnesota Board of Regents set the finalized costs for the upcoming school year. Finalized costs are posted on the tuition and costs website around mid to late July each year:
