The Online Learning program is designed to be usable by any student with Internet access and a computer capable of running current web browsers. All courses offered through the Morris Online Learning program use Canvas, a learning management system (LMS). Technology Help - Available by phone, email, online, or in person.
A web portal, MyU, is a resource to which every student at the University of Minnesota has access. Your portal has information and announcements specifically for you.
Access your online course via MyU portal
- Go to http://myu.umn.edu.
- Enter your University Internet ID and password.
- Click Sign in.
- Click on Key Links tab.
- Click Canvas.
- Your first time logging into Canvas you must accept the "terms of use" to see your Canvas courses.
- If you don't see a course site for which you are enrolled, it's likely it has not yet been published by the instrutor.
You can access your Canvas course directly through Canvas.
Access your Canvas course via Canvas
- Go to https://canvas.umn.edu.
- Enter your University Internet ID and password.
- Click Sign in.
- This will bring you to your Canvas dashboard.
- You must accept the "terms of use" the first time you enter to see your Canvas courses.
- Any Canvas courses for which you are enrolled will appear here. If you don't see your course here, your instructor has not yet published the site, or they are not using Canvas for the course.
