Pandemic challenges lead to improved chemistry lab
A blended general chemistry lab in the UMN Morris Science building, which provides a combination of live, in-person instruction along with pre-recorded videos and online learning modules, was the result of funding from the Learning Network of Minnesota (LNM) and may be the only such college lab in Minnesota.
Bulfer, Petersen, Shannon join Distinguished Alumni
Joan Bulfer ‘77, Alana Petersen ’91, and Dr. Simon Shannon ’97, are recipients of the 2023 University of Minnesota Morris Distinguished Alumni Award. The award is presented by the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) for distinguished service to the school and its students.
