The University of Minnesota, Morris Labor- Management Team supports the positive educational and working environment at Morris so as to assure success of all members of the Morris community.
The Labor Management Team was established in 1999 by the vice chancellor for finance in conjunction with a request by the bargaining unit staff. This team has been established as a group that is consultative to the director of human resources.
The Labor Management Team will review policy and procedure, employee development needs, employee recognition or other issues that are not otherwise governed by established work rules or bargaining unit agreements.
The team has both management and labor representatives. The “labor” portion of this group is established as a sub-committee of the United Staff Association (USA).
The Labor Management Team selects the winners of the UMM Outstanding Support Staff Award each spring.
