Assessment Plan (Academic Programs)
Faculty develop and maintain assessment plans for their degree programs. Assessment plans are expected yearly, before classes begin; adequate planning can facilitate a smooth assessment process.
Assessment plans include:
- Program student learning outcome(s) (PSLOs)
- Brief descriptions of assessment methods/measures
- A summary of the faculty/staff and courses/programs involved
Assessment plans:
- Ensure PSLOs are assessed on the schedule stated on the plan
- Help Assessment staff provide reminders and other support to those who are responsible for undertaking assessments
- Facilitate faculty/staff conversations about the goals of the program
