Academic Program Assessment Cycle
Each academic program assesses their complete set of program student learning outcomes (PSLOs) over a 3-year cycle. Throughout the cycle, programs implement changes to improve student learning.
Annual reports assess the efficacy of those changes.
Programs determine their own reporting schedules for the 3-year cycle. Example: Program A has 4 PSLOs.
Year 1 = New assessment data for PSLOs 1 and 2 reported, along with comparisons to previous PSLOs 1 and 2 data, to show the efficacy of any programmatic changes made as the result of the last assessment of these PSLOs
Year 2 = PSLO 3 reported, along with comparison to previous PSLO 3 data, to show the efficacy of any programmatic changes made as the result of the last assessment of this PSLO.
Year 3 = PSLO 4 reported, along with comparison to previous PSLO 4 data, to show the efficacy of any programmatic changes made as the result of the last assessment of this PSLO.
