The University of Minnesota Morris and the Morris area community will welcome the University of Minnesota Board of Regents and President Joan Gabel on March 9 and 10, when the Board will hold its March meetings at the Morris campus.
While most Board meetings are held at the Twin Cities campus, the Board traditionally visits other U of M campuses for its meetings at least once each year. This was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board’s meetings in Morris will be its first outside the Twin Cities since its March 2020 meetings in Duluth.
The public is invited to a community reception with the Board from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at the Common Cup Coffeehouse in downtown Morris. In addition to their meeting agenda and the opportunity to meet with the public on March 8, Board members and University leaders will tour campus and meet with UMN Morris students, faculty, and staff.
All Board of Regents meetings are open to the public to attend. For those who do not attend in person, anyone can follow Board meetings by livestreaming them at YouTube.com/UMNRegents. Meeting videos are also archived on YouTube for future viewing.
Agenda and meeting materials for all Board meetings can be found at regents.umn.edu. The March meetings’ detailed agenda will be posted on the website two weeks prior to the meetings (Friday, February 24) and docket materials will be posted the following week.
