UMN Morris choirs participate virtually in international choral festival

The University of Minnesota Morris Concert Choir participated in "Voces del Mundo", an international choral festival hosted by Universidad Ricardo Palma in Perú.

This year's festival was in a hybrid mode, so international choirs from Brazil, Italy, Ecuador, Uruguay and the United States were showcased as part of the September 27th event.

The UMN Morris choir was invited by maestro Pablo Morales Daal to perform works by Carl Strommen, Henry Mancini, and UMN Morris faculty Nathan Froebe under the direction of Yulene Velásquez. They were the only North American group to participate.

Though they have had international appearances with a previous conductor, this was the first time the UMN Morris Concert Choir was featured in South America.
