Peh Ng

Peh Ng has held the position of acting vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean since July 2021. Since joining the UMN Morris faculty in 1995, Ng has served as chair of the Division of Science and Mathematics, assistant academic dean, and as assistant, associate, and full professor of Mathematics. She earned a bachelor of science in Mathematics and Physics with Honors at Adrian College, Michigan, then a master of science and doctorate at Purdue University, with a specialization in Operations Research and Combinatorial Optimization. Ng is a 2021 recipient of the UMN President’s Award for Outstanding Service, a 2000 recipient of the Horace T. Morse Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education, and a 1998 recipient of the University of Minnesota, Morris Alumni Association Teaching Award. She has collaborated and mentored at least twenty five undergraduate students in research projects supported by the UMN UROP program and the UMN Morris MAP program.
