Sue Dieter

Four finalists for the position of University of Minnesota Morris chancellor have been selected and will visit the campus over the next several weeks. Specific details about the candidates will be posted the day before each presentation on the search website.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Candidate #1: Monday, March 20
  • Candidate #2: Thursday, March 23
  • Candidate #3: Monday, March 27
  • Candidate #4: Thursday, March 30

While on campus, each candidate will give a public presentation about “Opportunities and Challenges of a Public Liberal Arts Education: Responding to the Enrollment Issues at UMN Morris” from 4–5:20 p.m. in Oyate Hall.

Area residents are invited to attend a community reception with each candidate, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. on the dates listed above at either Old No. 1 Southside or Stone’s Throw Cafe. Watch the search website for details for each candidate’s visit.

The new chancellor will be following in the footsteps of UMN Morris’s sixth chief executive, Michelle Behr, who retired in June 2021.
