Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and liberal arts for the human services from the University of Minnesota Morris and master’s degree in clinical counseling from St. Cloud State University. Rachel has experience working with children in a school-based, day-treatment program for individuals with severe emotional disturbance, as well as previous experience in personal growth group leadership with college students. Rachel is passionate about solution-focused counseling, using an eclectic approach that includes cognitive behavioral and person-centered modalities to assist students in working toward their goals.
Rachel grew up in rural Minnesota before spending time in the Twin Cities. She moved to the Morris area in 2007, and is grateful to be living and working in an environment dedicated to sustainability, diversity, and growth.
