The University of Minnesota Morris is a national public liberal arts college that is committed to making a high-quality education available to students from across the country. Expenses for housing, meals, books & supplies, transportation, loan fees, and personal expenditures can vary.
2020-21 Costs
Resident
Resident tuition applies to students who are Minnesota residents. Students who are residents of Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, or the province of Manitoba, Canada may also qualify for resident tuition by completing a reciprocity agreement.

Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) Resident
MSEP tuition applies to students who are residents of Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, or Ohio.

Reciprocity
The University has reciprocity agreements with the states of
- Wisconsin
- North Dakota
- South Dakota
and the province of Manitoba, Canada.
If you are a resident of any of these states or province, you may qualify for reciprocity tuition rates, which are the same as resident rates.
Non-resident and international students will be considered for our National Scholar Award at the time of admission to Morris.
Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP)
The Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) is a multi-state tuition reciprocity program. Morris offers reduced tuition to eligible students from the following states:
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Kansas
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- Ohio
For consideration, students only need to submit an application for admission.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
91% of first year students receive financial aid. Morris has a variety of financial aid programs to help you realize your educational goals.
Free Credits
Morris has a tuition band, which means any credits more than 13 that you take in a single semester are free of charge. This is a great savings, as many students take an average of 15 credits per semester in order to graduate in four years.
