Academic Planning: Economics
The top 3 things to consider when planning a major in economics
- Students should take Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics in the first year. These courses are prerequisites for all other courses.
- Calculus I is required and should be taken in year one, if possible. If the student tests into a lower level of Math, have them get started with Math in the first semester.
- Statistics 1601 is required and should be completed in the first two years. Students with strong Math skills and who have completed Calculus I can take Statistics 2601 instead.
