Overview
An area of concentration in exercise science at UMN Morris combines curriculum from the sport management, biology, psychology, and communication, media, and rhetoric disciplines. This program will prepare you for further study in or a career related to physical therapy, athletic training, and other exercise-focused professions.
The exercise science area of concentration is not an established major within a particular discipline at UMN Morris. Rather, this area of concentration was developed by sport management faculty who, after analyzing numerous other exercise science curricula, selected the academic curriculum and course requirements for it. To declare an exercise science area of concentration as your major, please reach out to one of the faculty associated with exercise science.
As an exercise science student at UMN Morris, you have the option to take advantage of a pre-professional early assurance agreement between UMN Morris and UMN Twin Cities. This agreement provides a clear pathway from Morris to the Twin Cities graduate professional doctor of physical therapy program.
