The Teacher Education Program at the University of Minnesota Morris is part of the life-long development of an effective teacher and includes the study of liberal arts disciplines, pedagogy, teaching, and other life experiences. The program is based on a belief that a successful teacher is one who reflects on teaching and makes instructional decisions that ensure student learning for all students in all places.
The Morris Teacher Education Program is accredited by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board and by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education Legacy). This accreditation site is designed to provide detailed and ongoing information about our program and the assessment data that help us continue to reach the highest standards in the preparation of beginning teachers.
