SELFSustain 2023: The Forgotten Side of Sustainability

Event Date & Time

The Student Engagement & Leadership Forum on Sustainability is an annual event held between all UMN campuses. The purpose of this event is to learn about and discuss a wide variety of sustainability topics, engage in system-wide sustainability efforts, and enjoy meeting new people from across the state. Plus, hear from our keynote speaker, Ed Humes, the author of Garbology: Our Dirty Love Affair with Trash. This year’s theme is The Forgotten Side of Sustainability, so we’ll focus on the ideas that are often overlooked in the sustainability community, like intersectionality, the humanities and arts, and how everything connects with sustainability as a whole. Join us for a weekend of thoughtful sustainability conversations, networking with students from across the UMN system, and lots of fun!
