Grants & Waivers

Grants and waivers are types of financial aid that do not need to be repaid. Whether you receive a grant or waiver is based on your financial need as determined by the FAFSA, any eligibility criteria specific to the source, and availability of funds.

The total amount of financial aid you’re offered, including all scholarships and grants, cannot exceed the cost of attendance at the university for that aid year. Financial aid offers (e.g., loans, work study, scholarships, or grants) may be reduced if your total aid exceeds the cost of attendance.
