Fulbright experience is beautiful, surprising for UMN Morris alumna

After completing her English degree at UMN Morris, Rose Schwietz ’13, Mendota Heights, had been teaching theatre at a Nepali high school. She had heard about the Fulbright Scholarship program while she was a student at UMN Morris, but didn’t apply to the program until 2019.

UMN Morris announces 2023-24 Performing Arts Series

The University of Minnesota Morris announces the 2023–24 Performing Arts Series. This year's season features performances by NÆ, Tres Souls, The Pack Drumline, and Cello Portraits with Tony Ross & Bethel Balge.

Pandemic challenges lead to improved chemistry lab

A blended general chemistry lab in the UMN Morris Science building, which provides a combination of live, in-person instruction along with pre-recorded videos and online learning modules, was the result of funding from the Learning Network of Minnesota (LNM) and may be the only such college lab in Minnesota.

Bulfer, Petersen, Shannon join Distinguished Alumni

Joan Bulfer ‘77, Alana Petersen ’91, and Dr. Simon Shannon ’97, are recipients of the 2023 University of Minnesota Morris Distinguished Alumni Award. The award is presented by the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) for distinguished service to the school and its students.
