For the past two years, the UMN Morris Office of Sustainability worked with the Stevens Soil and Water Conservation District office to craft the issue scenario for the  youth environmental education competition, called the Minnesota Envirothon.   

Exhibits by Rebecca Vaughan and Ziba Rajabi will open the spring semester in the Edward J. and Helen Jane Morris Gallery at the University of Minnesota Morris 

An international list of guest artists has been announced for the 43rd UMM Jazz Fest, planned for Friday, April 12, 2024.

University of Minnesota Morris Chancellor Janet Schrunk Ericksen traveled to Sanya, China to participate in the 2024 SEP EduConnect International Symposium, hosted by the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange.  

Students in the  "Art + History, UMM+Community," connected with the Morris community in a meaningful way through barn quilts.  

Last fall, 15 UMN Morris students in the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) student organization on campus were able to attend the 2023 AISES National Conference.

A 90 kilowatt-hour lithium ferrous phosphate (LFP) battery has been installed on-campus next to the Recycling Center. 

Muenster University of Applied Sciences student intern Felix Luecken spent six months working with UMN Morris and the city of Morris. 

Associate Professor of Psychology Heather Peters has been named a recipient of the University of Minnesota’s 2023 Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Award. 

The University of Minnesota Morris hosted hosted more than 140 high school students and teachers for the Morris Challenge Rural Youth Institute, an interactive experience focused on renewable energy and community sustainability efforts throughout the Morris area.
