SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2021

UMN Morris plans to host two separate in-person commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Students will be given the option to participate in person or virtually.

Ceremonies are currently scheduled for 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Hosting multiple commencement ceremonies will allow us to have as close to a traditional ceremony as possible. Each graduate will be allowed to invite two guests to celebrate their accomplishment. Students will select the ceremony they would like to attend, and, at that time, they will provide the mailing address(es) for the two guests they would like to attend the in-person ceremony. Tickets will be mailed directly to the guests and will need to be presented at the appropriate ceremony. Additional guests will be able to watch the live stream in one of two additional viewing areas on campus. The live stream of each commencement ceremony will be available to view from anywhere.

In order for us to host in-person ceremonies, we must all do our part to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure; this includes limiting the number of guests, wearing masks while inside campus buildings, maintaining a six-foot distance between yourself and others with whom you do not live, and following all guidance provided by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
