- Class Registration: For new students, Zoom meetings are arranged after Open Enrollment begins. ISP staff will be in contact with you after you secure your visa appointment date.
- Arrival Information: Please complete the Arrival Form to share your flight information and other details. If needed, our student leaders can pick you up from the airport on the dates specified in the Arrival Form. Book your flight to arrive at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport, the airport code is MSP.
- Meal Plan during International Welcome Week: The only cost of International Welcome Week is the meals you have during the week. The charge to your student account for this will be $150.
- Housing: You may consider your residence hall options by viewing the Office of Residential Life website. And then, Apply for Housing
- Bedding: Since students don't pack bedding, and we won't be able to do a shopping trip until about 6-10 days after you arrive, we offer the option to purchase bedding with us, please indicate your interest in your online arrival form. We offer fitted sheets, comforter and a pillow for $65 which is a good deal. We would charge your student account.
- Immunizations: Locate and bring a copy of proof of your immunization records. Minnesota law requires that all students be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria.
Health Insurance: The University of Minnesota requires all international students to purchase the Student Health Benefit Plan (SHBP)
