How To Vote

The state of Minnesota provides you with three reliable options for making your voice heard:

  1. If you have applied to vote absentee, follow these instructions.
    URGENT: Courts have ruled that mailed ballots must arrive at the county election office/Secretary of State's office by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Ballots mailed today or later may not arrive in time to be counted.
    You have three other options: 
    1. Drop your ballot off at the county election office. Locations are listed at

    2. There are extended hours, including weekend voting, at in-person early voting locations. A list of locations is in the FAQ section of

    3. Vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. 

  2. You can vote before Election Day at an early voting location or the county election office.
  3. You can vote in person on November 3 at your polling place.
