The top 3 things to consider when planning a major in german studies
- Beginning German 1001 plus German 1002 satisfies the foreign language General Education Requirement. These courses are not part of the major, but do act as a pre-requisite for German 2001 and beyond.
- Students should consult with German discipline faculty and receive pre-approval for major elective courses that are outside of the German discipline to ensure sufficient depth of coverage.
- Students are encouraged to complete at least one year of instruction in another foreign language in addition to German.
