Students at Morris, whether or not they are pursuing a major in music, have many opportunities to pursue and improve their performance skills through large ensembles, smaller groups, clubs, or solo venues including:
- Individual lessons
- Recitals
- Concert Choir
- University Choir
- Symphonic Winds
- Jazz Ensembles/Combos
- Chamber Orchestra
In addition to leading various ensembles, students may pursue additional scholarly activity, often working closely with faculty in a variety of mentorship situations, in fields such as:

- Music history
- World music
Outreach and service opportunities include:
