A world of opportunity

Studying abroad has long been a hallmark of a good education. International travel helps students gain language, reasoning, and interpersonal skills, and a global perspective that will serve them throughout their lives and careers. At Morris, study abroad is a popular part of the student experience:nearly half of all Morris students graduate having done some kind of international study.

"Australia is awesome - I would recommend studying abroad to anyone - I love it! The time has flown by so fast - I'll be home soon. I wish I could stay longer! It is an amazing experience, and you really grow alot. You definitely become more independent and open to other cultures and their ideas. It is really cool."

-Lindsey Johanson, Australia

"Classes are underway and I am appreciating them so far. I have a film class that we watch Latin American films and analyze them...that is probably my favorite class. But I also really like my Spanish Conversation and Composition course, we get to read very interesting literature and the professor (who happens to be the same one as the film class) is really into his job and it makes everyone in our class more excited to learn."

-Tara Schmidt, Venezuela

"I am actually at a loss for words and can't even begin to sum all of my feelings in a quote. I have had such a great time and have made so many friends. I have learned about different cultures from my new exchange friends and each day I am influenced and learn something new. It has been so neat to be totally immersed into a foreign lifestyle and to have to depend solely on yourself."
